Katona Shows Strong Speed in Harfsen

Aron Katona of Van Venrooy KTM Racing demonstrated strong speed during the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross 250 in Harfsen. Katona was in contention for a top-three finish in the first moto, but two crashes ended those chances.

Both Katona and Zanocz started the day strongly in the morning, setting the fifth and fourth fastest times respectively in their qualifying groups.

In the first moto, Katona got off to an excellent start and was running in fourth place during the opening laps. He then moved up into third place. Unfortunately, a crash shortly after disrupted his race and dropped him back to tenth. Katona regrouped and managed to reconnect with the group of riders ahead of him. However, in the closing stages, he crashed again and had to settle for twelfth place. Zanocz fought his way back from outside the top ten to seventh place but lost one position in the final stages, finishing eighth.

Both riders were eager for redemption in the second moto, but unfortunately a heavy rain shower led to the cancellation of the second motos.

The next round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross will take place on Sunday, May 17, in Markelo.
